Tokyo Disney Magic: 3 Days, 2 Nights of Fun for Families
Beautiful day at Tokyo Disney!
The Experience
Our latest adventure took us just outside Tokyo to the magical world of Tokyo Disney Resort for three days of rides, parades, and unforgettable family fun. Whether you're planning your first visit or returning for more memories, this 3D/2N itinerary is designed with families in mind—especially those with younger kids!
Start your Disney experience at Ikspiari, a shopping and entertainment complex next to the resorts. You can grab last-minute essentials, snacks, or character goods at the Disney Store (just note: they don’t sell ears). For the best selection of ears and park gear, visit Bon Voyage, located just outside the entrance.
After shopping, check into your hotel and head out for dinner at Senzushi Shinurayasu Kaiou, a casual and delicious local sushi spot that’s perfect for families. They have private tatami rooms, child utensils, and even offer takeaway if your kids are too tuckered out to dine in.
Day 1: Tokyo Disneyland
Location: 1-13 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba 279-8511
Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
We like to start with Tokyo Disneyland, which offers that classic fairytale Disney feel—complete with Cinderella Castle, character parades, and nostalgic rides. With seven themed lands, it's also the more compact and manageable park for families with younger children.
Restrooms: Family-friendly restrooms throughout the park (use the app to locate the nearest one).
Stroller Friendly: Bring your own or rent one from Guest Services (1000 yen; under 100cm only).
Shade: Limited; Tomorrowland has the most coverage. Ponchos recommended for rainy days.
Things to Bring
🛍️ Collapsible shopping bags
🍱 Small snacks in a pencil case (Daiso has great themed ones!)
🌧️ Ponchos
✨ Light sticks, bubbles, sticker books
🪙 Disney coin pouch for pressed coin collection
💧 Refillable water bottles
🧺 Small mat or blanket for parades
☀️ Sunscreen, UV umbrella

Kid & Family Tips
🎯 Know your family’s priorities: rides, food, shopping, or shows. For us, it’s parades and short ride queues.
📱 Use the app to check DPA, Standby, or 40th Anniversary Pass availability before mapping your route.
🚶♀️ Disneyland is smaller than DisneySea, making it easier to navigate.
🥡 Mobile ordering is essential—place your order about an hour in advance. You’ll get a 10-minute pickup window.
🧺 Set up a parade spot about an hour before showtime. While one adult holds the spot, another can grab food or sneak in a nearby ride.
🪑 Note: Strollers and wheelchairs must be folded and stored behind the crowd during shows.

Day 2: Tokyo DisneySea
Location: 1-13 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba 279-8511
Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Day two is for Disney Sea, the park known for its immersive worlds and older-skewing rides. That said, the newly opened Fantasy Springs area has made it much more toddler-friendly and visually enchanting.
Restrooms: Available and family-friendly (check app for nearest).
Stroller Friendly: Bring your own or rent (under 100cm).
Shade: Mermaid Lagoon is the best covered space.
Things to Bring
(Same as Disneyland)
Tips
There’s no central castle; water parades can be harder for small children to see.
DisneySea is much bigger—give yourself plenty of time to move between areas.
Mobile ordering is just as helpful here!
Parade/show viewing requires early mat placement.
Rotate who waits with the mat while others snack or ride nearby.
